Stephen Kobernick, DDS
As a periodontist, I am excited about the opportunity to assist my patients in improving their smiles as well as their health. It is rewarding to make such a positive impact on their lives! My patients are the reason I am thrilled to go to work every day. I truly enjoy the interactions I have with them, learning about their diverse backgrounds and personalities, and getting to know them as more than just patients. I look forward to welcoming each and every person who comes to our office and into our dental family.

My team and I are continually updating our skills and knowledge of new procedures and new technology so we can provide the highest quality care available in our industry. Our office has incorporated the only patented and FDA approved laser for periodontal therapy. I have also completed extensive training at the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry and am excited about the new technology and patient comfort that I am now able to offer. I cherish my patients and feel as if they are an extension of my own family.
In the Office
We recognize that the dentist’s office is often times not a place that our patients wish to be. We strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We strongly believe that our patients’ comfort is an important part of quality periodontal care. Our mission is to make every patient feel as if they are our only patient. We believe that having a lighthearted, compassionate team is critical in this regard.
I am extremely proud of my team, which comprises caring and dedicated professionals. They communicate well with patients and each other, ensuring that our patients’ treatment and personal needs are met efficiently and comfortably.
I grew up in Baltimore, MD. My wife, Debbie, and I have two children, Alyssa and Max, and two Labradoodles named Charlie and Dodger. When I’m not spending time at the office, I enjoy cycling, music, gardening, and antiquing. I am also a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Gulf Coast Dental Outreach, and the Maimonides Society. I teach and serve on the advisory committee for the Dental Hygiene program at St. Petersburg College.
